Heidi Braun has always been fascinated by insects from an early age. This special interest paired with decades of educating young children helped inspire her to create her first picture book, Insect Action! An Alphabet, Rhyming, and Movement Book.

Retired from classroom teaching, she enjoys being a new author and continues to educate children through this first book, with plans for more books to come. She is married and has two grown sons. She and her husband live in SE Minnesota surrounded by the beauty of the Mississippi River Valley.
